The Berggorilla & Regenwald Direkthilfe - an organization based in Germany - focuses its work on eastern gorillas by supporting projects contributing to the conservation of these animals. We mainly support the rangers, for example by providing necessary equipment. Whenever possible, we co-operate with other international organisations.

Another important goal of our organization is raising the general public’s awareness of the problems of gorilla conservation and the changing situation in habitat countries. One way of doing this is through our newsletter Gorilla Journal. It is printed twice per year in German, English and French.
